A Trip to the Zoo!!

Monday, Martin Luther King Jr Day, we decided to go to Houston for the day to do some shopping and to eat at Red Robin (we don't have one here in town.)  We also found out that the Houston Zoo was free on MLKJ day, so we added that to the agenda!  Having never been to the Houston Zoo, we thought this was the perfect day to try it!  So we left a little earlier and headed to the zoo!

If you know my Kye at all, he was stoked!!!  We haven't been to a zoo since leaving Lincoln!  3 years is a long time to not see some animals!  Actually, all of us were pretty excited about the day ahead!

Happy New Year!!!

Yes, I know it's a few days late, but this is how we spent our New Year's Eve!  Just like last year, we went to church to play games, fellowship with friends and then right before midnight, we stopped and "counted down" and ushered in the new year, praising and praying!  This is one of our favorite things that Living Hope does!!!  Earlier in the day, Dakota wasn't feeling too hot and I wasn't sure if we'd be able to go.  Dakota was so upset because this night was so fun!  Kye got to come this year!  And we'll see if Kru will make it next year?!
